I remember wondering to myself what a Spy pen really is. I had heard of it a couple of times but couldn’t really picture it. If you are also wondering what this device is and what it does, then let me explain this to you.

From the word spy, you already know that it has something to do with getting information secretly. A spy pen is actually a pen with some additional features. It includes a camera so you can record videos without people knowing about this.

I’m not sure if technology should be used in this way nor do I think these kind of devices should exist, but this is definitely not the type of popular geeky gadgets such as tablets or smart phones that most people would like to own but believe me, some did purchase one of these for a reason.

To get some information, you can just plant the spy pen at the point you know the information you seek would be discussed or revealed and then leave the area. Come back later and see what the spy pen has recorded. It would record everything that goes on in your absence without the people there being any wiser.

Most spy pens have a memory capacity of 4GB. Your maximum recording length is therefore the time it takes the 4GB space to be filled. Since the spy pen’s battery can only last for about 4 hours and it would take about 6 hours for the pen to record 4GB worth of video, this may not be possible. So effectively, you can record for 4 hours.

This device is so easy to use. When you are done recording, just connect the pen to your PC, transfer it and you can watch what you shot.

You can get a spy pen for between $50 and $120. You would get better quality cameras on the higher priced ones.
